Insurance Cover
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 11. The Wahine is believed to be covered by the fleet insurance cover, hull-risk, of the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company, Ltd, the parent company of her owner, the Union Steam Ship Com pany of New Zealand, Ltd.
In such a case, the insurance cover would have been placed on the London market with many companies taking a share of the premium In return for accepting a propor tion of the risk cover. With three main insurance companies in New Zealand—the National insurance Company of New Zealand, Ltd, the New Zealand Insurance Company, Ltd, and the South British Insurance Company, Ltd—it is expected that the local holding of the insurance cover would only be a nominal part of the whole amount.
