Piers Courage has been signed to drive the Parnell B.R.M. V-12 G.P. car, which will race for the first time at Silverstone on April 27. The other will be driven by Richard Attwood. Courage is also expected to drive in formula two championship events, and possibly in the CanAm series. qs ss q:
A meeting of racing interests has rejected the suggestion that all cars entered for world championship Grand Prix races should have to qualify for their places on the grid. It has been decided that grid positions will be guaranteed to the 8.R.M., Lotus, Brabham, Cooper, Ferrari, Honda, Eagle, and McLaren works teams, all
being guaranteed one grid position with the exception of the Lotus, Ferrari and Brabham and McLaren teams, which will be assured of two grid positions. It is expected a place will also be allotted the French Matra team. All other entrants will have to qualify for grid positions in the time trials.

Sprague (Ford); Telford Motors Challenge Trophy: M. J. McDonald (Mini); Hervey Motors Challenge Trophy: L. Leonard; Tlmaru Motors Challenge Trophy: M. Stanley (Chevrolet V 8): Reliable Car Sales Challenge Trophy: E. J. Wills (Cheetah).
