Elections At University
Eight members of the Canterbury University Council will retire by rotation at the end of June. Nominations for their seats will close on May--13 and elections (if necessary) will be held on June 10. Those retiring are Messrs C. H. Perkins, appointed by the Governor-General; R. G. Pearce, appointed by the council; T. D. J. Holderness, appointed by the Lincoln College Council; D. W. Bain and J. N. Matson, elected by the Court of Convocation (graduates); Professor T. E. Carter, elected by the Professorial Board: and Dr B. R. Penfold, elected by lecturers.
