Two Women Hurt
Two Christchurch women were injured in accidents caused by yesterday’s high winds.
Mrs Marjorie Hall, of 11 Ascott Avenue, suffered head injuries. She was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, where her condition last night was satisfactory. Mrs Hall was struck by a door which had been blown from its hinges in an alley at 152 Manchester Street about 8.50 a.m.
Mrs Kate Murphy, of 14 Cashel Street, was blown over by the wind outside 138 Hereford Street about 1.15 p.m. She was treated at the Christchurch Hospital and discharged.
