Conley Not To Return
The former New Zealand and Canterbury player, T. Conley, whom Shamrock was seeking as its player-coach, will not be returning to Christchurch to play soccer this season.
He has been appointed cap-tain-coach of the Melbourne Hakoah club’s State League reserve team.
Because of this, the Australian Soccer Federation has notified the New Zealand Football Association that a certificate of transfer for Conley cannot be forwarded. A letter stating this was received at a meeting of the Canterbury Football Association. The C.F.A. had asked the N.Z.F.A. to apply for a clearance for Conley.
