Snooker Pairs Champions

W. Adams and W. Burney of the Kaiapoi Workingmen’s Club became the new pairs snooker challenge holders when they beat R. Higgs and K. Ringdahl (Hornby Workingmen’s Club) by three frames to two.

The first two frames went to Kaiapoi with the black ball to win, but in the third Hornby rallied to score.

The frames could have gone to either team. However, Hornby was in front on the colours in all games. Kaiapoi’s first defence will be against the Woolston Workingmen’s Club team of R. Franks and T. Mintrom.
