General Creighton Abraims, who is reportedly being considered for promotion to commander of United States troops in Vietnam, continued consultations in Washington today. Back in Washi ..ton for a brief visit, the 53-year-old deputy commander in Vietnam saw President Johnson yesterday, raising speculation that he was the front-runner to replace General William Westmoreland when th latter becomes Army Chief of Staff on July 1. The White House press secretary. George Christian, said, however, that he did not know of any pending announcement on the Vietnam command.
