Manchester Unity
A gain in membership, and financial consolidation were reported at the annual conference of the North Canterbury District of the Manchester Unity, Independent Order of Oddfellows at the Riccarton lodge hall on Saturday. An increase of $llO,OOO in housing finance and an in-
crease in members* savings of $53,000, both in 1967, were noted. Mr D. P. Mangels was elected district Grand Master to succeed Mr G. H. Exton. Mr A. Galt was elected deputy Grand Master. Other officers elected were: Secretary, Mr H. R. Peers; treasurer, Mr M. J. Paulger; committee, Messrs K. T. Buckley, B. R. Caulder, G. H. Exton, A. G. Smith, M. E. Taylor and R. Tillman.
