Tooheys Lifts Int. Profit
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright! SYDNEY, March 18. Tooheys, Ltd, which took over the Miller brewery in July last year, earned a higher profit in the six months to January 31 after substantially increased provision for tax and depreciation. Reporting this, the directors said both sales and profits, although higher than in the previous corresponding period, were both affected by industrial stoppages during the six months. Interim dividend from the group will be a steady 4t pei cent, indicating another nine per cent for the full year.
