N.Z. Water Skiers

W. Ruske, of Canterbury, is a surprise choice in the strong New Zealand water ski-ing team to participate in the Zone 111 (South Pacific) area championships in Adelaide, on April 16. The team is Miss J. Hole, P. Reeves (Waikato), G. Mundell, W. Coughie (Auckland), and Ruske. It is expected that Miss Hole, Reeves, and Ruske will be sponsored by the New Zealand Water Ski Association. Mundell, who will return to Surfers’ Paradise where he works, and Coughie, ate expected to pay all or a large part of their expenses to the championships. Ruske is to visit a prominent surfing instructor at Surfers’ Paradise for a fortnight’s coaching before the championships begin.
