TWO HURT ON ROADS

Mr G. Serge, aged 75, of 200 Worcester Street suffered a compound fracture of his left arm when he was hit by a truck which was backing near the corner of Madras and Tuam Streets about 4.45 p.m. yesterday.

He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, where his condition was reported to be satisfactory. Phillip Price, of Pembroke Street had his right arm and leg broken in a collision between a motor-cycle and a truck at the intersection of Avonside Drive and Stanmore Road about 7.45 a.m. yesterday.
