Mrs F. Westgarth presided at the recent annual meeting of the Riccarton Townswomen's Guild and welcomed the Dominion president (Mrs C. G. Crawford). Officers elected:—president, Mrs C. Francis; secretary, Mrs I. Duns; treasurer, Mrs A. Scott; Committee, Mesdames C. Adkins, D. Christian, A. Cook, P. Edgington, P. Giles, F. Smith, I. Vaughan, and N. Wright; circle leaders: gardening, Mrs C. Holmes; arts and crafts, Mrs P. Giles and I. Vaughan; civics, Mrs M. Jacques. Woolston Guild
The annual meeting of the Woolston Townswomen's Guild was held recently, when Mrs Crawford represented the area federation of guilds. Officers elected:—president, Mrs H. Williams; secretary, Mrs H. A. McDowall; treasurer, Mrs R. J. Loader; committee, Mesdames T. Batie, R. Broome, F. Dempsey, J. Fairbairn, W. Henley, S. Harrison, V. J. Henry, D. Kilburn, J. Mather, T. Otten, W. Smith, G. Wallcroft, and R. Underwood.
