Sureties Not Approved

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 13. The Australian company director, Robert John Gardner, aged 39, who was recently extradited from Britain and on Monday granted bail by Mr Justice Moller on 64 charges of fraud, has not yet been released from Auckland gaol. A condition of b->il was that he must find two sureties of $lO,OOO each who must be approved by the police. Gardner’s counsel, Mr L. W. Brown, said this afternoon that the police had not approved two sureties for Gardner’s bail. He said he had filed an application to have the Judge’s order varied in relation to the surety.
