No Sanctions Comment

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 12. If a meeting of the Commonwealth Sanctions Committee was called, New Zealand, as a member, would naturally be represented, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said tonight. Mr Holyoake was commenting on a report that the committee was expected to be called to discuss joint Commonwealth reaction to the latest moves in Rhodesia and that the African and Asian group was expected to press for sterner measures. Mr Holyoake said that such meetings were held regularly but until one was held he was not in a position to comment on the possible agenda or New Zealand’s reaction to specific items.
