The Canterbury cyclist, C. B. J. Fitzgerald, injured in a crash at Kew Bowl on Saturday afternoon, will be in Invercargill Hospital for the rest of this week at least. He crashed into the West Coast-North Island rider, P. J. Cox, during the teams’ pursuits semi-finals of the national championships. Fitzgerald was expected to be discharged on Monday, but he has been experiencing dizziness and two small fractures of the skull have been revealed by X-rays.
