INDIAN CALLED
The first instance of a bowler being called for throwing in a first-class match in New Zealand occurred in the second test at Lancaster Park yesterday. Abid Ali opened the bowling for India when New Zealand began its second innings, and was noballed for going over the line three times in his first over.
i He was no-balled for a similar , offence In his third over ' and when he ran up 'or his next ball, it was obvious that he threw it, , even from a vantage i point at the boundary. The bowler’s umpire, Mr F.
Goodall, no-balled him i and the batsman, B. E. 1 i Congdon, hit the ball for I 4. !
