MERRIN SCHOOL

The Merrin Home and School Association had raised $1088.79 for school baths, library and sports equipment, said the association's president (Mr M. K. Port), in his report to the association’s annual meeting. He said the association had had a very good second year. Officers elected were:— President, Mr M. K. Port: senior vice-president, Mr J. Howley; junior vice-president. Mrs E. Haines: treasurer. Mr W. Foot; secretary, Mrs E. R. Horner.

Golfer Moves. —S. M. Leech, the Waikato Freyberg Rose-bowl golfer, will be playing in the Bay of Plenty this season. He has moved to Tauranga.
