MOSCOW, February 7.
A Viet Cong spokesman claimed today that thousands of Russians, Americans and other foreigners were volunteering to fight for the Communist cause in Vietnam, but they were not needed.
Dang Quang Minh, the Moscow representative of the National Liberation Front, told a news conference in the Russian capital that the Viet Corg lunar new year offensive had been an unqualified success. He dismissed any possibility of a coalition between the National Liberation Front—the political wing of the Viet
Cong—and the present Saigon Government. “Our object is the complete overthrow of the puppet regime,” Minh said. “The American aggressors in South Vietnam are in an extremely critical situation. There is demoralisatipn and confusion among the American soldiers, and the South Vietnamese Army is paralysed and falling apart.”
