Best Garden Trophy

Mr and Mrs L. J. Swallow, of 12 Rochford Place, have been awarded the R. T. Tosswill Memorial Trophy for most points in any section of the Canterbury Horticultural Society’s home garden competition: Mr C. J. Fineran, of 72 Paterson Avenue, who gained the most points, won the trophylast year and was not eligible to win it for a second year in succession. Two further special awards have been announced by the society—ferns, Mrs 0. R. Chillingworth, 5 Rowe Place: ponds, D. Cadman, 74 Stanbury Avenue.
