Insurance On Flights

ii'i.Z. Press Association)

AUCKLAND, Feb. 5. The Auckland Regional Authority has received one application to install insurance vending machines at the Auckland international airport. The application came before the authority’s airport committee this afternoon, but was deferred pending further investigation. The Airline Pilots’ Association will be invited to make submissions on the queston before any decision is reached. Earlier, the association said it would oppose the introduction of insurance vending machines, and stated pilots in the United States were campaigning for the removal of machines because they said the machines attracted unbalanced people. The airport manager (Mr R. W. G. Emery) supported the application.
