Cochrane Has Strong Team

“The Press” Special Service With Golden Silver, Glocca Morra and Lonvato engaged, the Gore trainer, R. J. Cochrane, holds a strong hand in the President’s Handicap, first leg of the T.A.B. double on the first day of the Gore Racing Club’s meeting today. The second leg will be the Croydon Handicap, in which the capable Wingatui mare, Sailor’s Flight, will be confidently • expected to win her third race in succession. The track will be firm. Of Cochrane’s team in the President’s Handicap, Golden Silver has the stronger appeal after his wins in the Invercargill Gold Cup and the President's Handicap at the Southland meeting last month.
