The Economy
Sir,—So rents are to go up, wheatgrowers to get a wage cut also. Unemployment is with us: we are certainly scraping the bottom of the barrel with this incompetent National Party Government. Will we be able to afford an election in 1969, or will the I.M.F. and World Bank also decide that? Every day Sir Edmund Hillary is proven more right.—Yours, etc., J. F. WRIGHT. January 26, 1968.
