Power House Mishap
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 26. The Cobb power station in the Nelson district has temporarily been put out of commission after an accident in the power house this afternoon, the Assistant-General Manager of the Electricity Department, Mr G. T. Wilson, said tonight. Mr Wilson said no-one had been hurt. The mishap occurred when a generating unit was shut down to allow maintenance work on the turbine, which had been opened up. Mr Wilson said that the valve supplying water to this turbine opened and a threeinch jet of water at 9001 b per square inch pressure was released into the power house, damaging equipment.
