Orsova To Call At Rio

The P. and O. liner Orsova will leave Auckland for the United Kingdom on February 3 and will call at Kio de Janeiro. This is the first direct sailing from New Zealand via Brazil for a purely passengercarrying vessel. Two hundred and twenty New Zealanders will be joined by a large contingent of Australians from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Fremantle, and will travel to Durban, Cape Town, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Dakar, Casablanca and Lisbon, arriving at Southampton on March 22. A company spokesman said that with this new route the Orsova’s passengers would have a total o* 21 days ashore. It had proved so popular that there would be a similar opportunity next October.
