Double Shift

(N Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, January 25. New Zealand Forest Products, Ltd, is running a double shift of logging trucks carrying export logs to Mount Maunganui. Trucks which were operating nine and 10 hours a day are now running an 18 to 20 hour shuttle service between the company’s forest and the wharves. Mr J. T. Currie, resident director of the company at Kinleith, said today the double shift had been brought about by an increased demand for logs, mainly from Japan.
