British Farm Party
Plans to entertain 25 British fanners and their wives who will be in Christchurch from February 17 to 21 were approved by the executive of North Canterbury Federated Farmers yesterday. The president (Mr R. H. Bedford) said that the federation had been asked to look after the visitors for one day, February 20. It was proposed to take the party to Mr R. M. Wilson’s farm at Kirwee to see some of his trial dogs yarding ducks, to a shearing demonstration at Mr A. A. Mulholland’s farm at Darfield, and to see lambs being drafted for the British market at Mr A. F. Wright’s farm at Annat.
The visitors will leave for Hamilton on February 21.
