(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Jan. 21. The Government trade unions “summit” meeting on Australia's postal strike, scheduled for this afternoon, was postponed for three hours. It was due to begin at 6 p.m. New Zealand time at the Department of Labour and National Service in Melbourne. The Postmaster • General (Mr Alan Hulme) and the Minister for Labour (Mr Leslie Bury) were there early, but there was no sign of the president of the Australian Council of Trades Unions (Mr Albert Monk), or of the secretary of the Australian Postal Workers’ Union (Mr George Slater). Then. 20 minutes after the original starting time, Mr Monk telephoned and requested a postponement, the Minister agreed and it was announced that the meeting would begin at 9 p.m. New Zealand time.
