Oranges Up

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 19. Australian oranges have risen 2c per lb retail as the result of devaluation. The new prices approved by the Department of Industries and Commerce are 16c per lb in the Auckland metropolitan area and 17c per lb or 33c for 21b outside the city.

Mr C. J. C. Wright, of Dunsandel, left for Fiji yesterday to spend a year working under the Volunteer Service Abroad scheme. He will teach at Savusavu, on Vanua Levu, one of the two main islands.
