This time betters the record held by the Commonwealth Games gold medallist. D. Gerrard, by I.3sec. The chairman of the Waikato Swimming Association (Mr D. Paviour-Smith) said yesterday that the time, along with a certificate of verification from the United States authorities, had been sent to the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association. Campbell is not included in the New Zealand swimming squad for the Olympic Games in Mexico.
