RACING No Change In Plans After Kumara Loss
Next Please’s failure to win at Kumara on Saturday has not affected his programme for Trentham. He is to be flown north next Friday and will run in the Wellington Cup on Saturday.
Mr L. R. C. Macfarlane’s Dunedin Cup winner was brought back to Riccarton yesterday, and will gallop there tomorrow.

Next Please finished strongly for his third in a fairly close finish with Totara Lad and Count Down in Saturday’s feature race at Kumara.
The margins separating them were half a length'and a neck. Totara Lad was always in the leading division, but Next Please dwelt slightly at the start and then had to be restrained to keep off the heels of horses ahead of him. The result was that he was second to last at the five furlongs. Next Please was brought wide in his chase after the leaders on the home turn, and made ground steadily, though too late to peg back Totara Lad and Count Down. This was Totara Lad's ninth win in open class, and took his winnings in this class to 84460. Results:
