BEFORE AND AFTER.—The photographs shown above and below are a good illustration of regeneration that has taken place on Molesworth. They show a site photographed in 1950 (above), and again in 1965. The first shows a rabbit warren on a steep slope, with evidence of gullying. Fifteen years later the same site has a cover of grasses, including cocksfoot and clover, and rabbits have been eliminated.
