Wool Easier At Wanganui

(New Zealand Press Association) WANGANUI, January 12. Bidding was steady, well spread, but not particularly animated today at the third main, and largest Wanganui wool sale of the season.

Prices for fleece and early shorn wools were fully 2i per cent cheaper, and lamb’s wools were 2} to 5 per cent cheaper than at the recent Wellington sale.

A catalogue of 30,216 bales was submitted to a full bench of buyers. The offering was 55 per cent full-fleece wools, 16 per cent early-shorn and second-

shear, 11 per cent lamb’s, and 18 per cent oddments. The official report said that lines of mixed length wools were still evident. There was a marked proportion of better prepared and reclassed lines of fleece wools, and a noticeable increase in the percenttage of skirted lamb’s wool, which was generally of good colour and length.
