Grey-haired Miss Frances Pinckney could not bear the thought of her family of pets —three donkeys, three cats and a pony—falling on hard times after her death, the -‘Daily Express” reported. When she died—alone with her pets on Christmas morning—she left little notes pinned to the walls of her kitchen, instructing the Royal Society for the Prevention of
Cruelty to Animals to have the animals destroyed. To make sure that her instructions were carried out, 66-yeaMld Miss Pinckney also had them written in her will. But her friends and other animal-lovers are acting to have Miss Pinckney’s last wishes set aside.
They believe there is no reason why the pets at Miss Pinckney’s cottage in Hampshire should not find good homes and be well cared for. All of them are perfectly fit
