RANDOM REMINDER

END OF THE LOAD

Well now, this is just about the end of the show for the year, and my genius and I want to thank all you kind people for sending those cards and letters. We love them. Sometimes we cry about them, just a little. We want particularly to thank little David Demijohn of Motukarara for sending us his pet hedgehog. How were you to know David, that what with the Christmas rush and all, there have been some delays in the post? Perhaps your little hedgehog was not quite ' as well when it arrived as you might have wanted, but your gift ma'de

a big impression on us and we won't ever forget it And there was the lovely old lady from Kaikoura who took all that trouble with the tree fern. Emily Ketchup, she is, and Emily, you shouldn’t have bothered to send us a full-grown one, just a little one which could have been taken up by the lift would have done. But my genius and I. we thank you and we really appreciate what you have done for us. And we musn't forget Bitsy Longrave of Darfield, or any of the others who have kept their cards and

letters coming. We have real kind thoughts about you all, and particularly about Graham Goulash of Ashburton. He was the one who sent us that lovely card on our anniversary, Beautiful it was, he did it himself, with roses and things all over it and a kind invitation for us to drop dead. My genius and I often look through them all, and think of our offspring There’s nearly 3000 of them now but we look forward to having you all back with us again next year because you’re real kind, and we just can’t wait to see what you will be sending next
