330,000 Now Slaughtered

I (N.ZP.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, Dec. 25. More than 330,000 farm animals have been slaughtered in Britain’s worst epidemic of foot-and-mouth disease, according to a spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture. Twenty fresh outbreaks of the disease were reported today, all within areas already infected. This was one more than yesterday, but well below the peak of 81 reached on November 24.
