The person appointed will be required to attend a full-time training course in Wellington, commencing February, 1968. After completing the course, the trainee will return to Christchurch for practical training and field work before taking in May, 1969, the examination for a Public Health Inspector’s Diploma of the Royal Society of Health. Salary during training will be $1960 per annum increasing to $2178 after satisfactorily completing the course and to $2450 per annum on qualification, with annual increments over a three year period to $2790 per annum.
