Quiet Morning At Wingatui

In a quiet morning at wingatui yesterday, Royal Rejoicing, ridden by her trainer, R. N. Marsh, showed her fitness for the Quin Memorial Hack Handicap at Tapanui when she dashed Over half a mile in ilsec, the first furlong in 12 3-Ssec.
The fast work was held on the course proper, with the trestles SO fest out. Conditions were ideal. Dervic (D. Adams) and Merry Madam (B. Lott) ran the first furlong of half a mile in 13sec. and were on terms in 53 2-ssec.
Mr Raad, owned by Mr F. Ferris, of Dunedin, formerly trained at Riccarton, Is a recent addition to Marsh’s team. Jivaros, which Is suffefing from a knee Injury, is an unlikely starter in the E. J. Irving Maiden Stakes.
