EXAM. PAPER ERROR
Allowance To Be Made (N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 3. Students would not suffer as a result of an error in the school certificate mathematics B paper, said the Director of Secondary Education (Mr M. Hewitson). He was commenting on a complaint that a question was asked on terms of a diagram that could not exist, given the dimensions stated. The question carried nine marks and was one of 12 compulsory questions. Mr Hewitson said that the moderator, the ehief examiner and markers were aware of the situation and compensatory marking would be made where necessary.
