ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT "Hobson " To Carry On

The season of “Hobson's Choice,” the latest production of the Canterbury Repertory Theatre Society, has been extended for two performances, on Friday and Saturday this week. While the Canterbury Theatre Trust was deciding to disband its professional company for lack of sufficient audience support, audiences were building for the Repertory play. On Saturday “Hobson's Choice” had a full house —the first since the renovated Repertory Theatre was reopened in July—and the repertory committee decided to extend the season. The photograph shows the three leading characters in “Hobson’s Choice,” the “Town and Around” reporter. Judie Douglass, as Maggie, James Wright as Willie Mossop, and Harold Pointer as Hobson.
