SYMPOSIUM IN ATHENS

New Zealand and Australia will be two of 72 countries which will take part in a threeweek international symposium on industrial development beginning in Athens tomorrow.

Ignoring the war scare over Cyprus, the United Nations last night announced that the symposium would go ahead. Greek Government officials will take part in the opening ceremonies of the symposium, the United Nations announcement said.

The executive secretary of the United Nationssponsored gathering is - Mr Ibrahim Abdel-Rahman, of Egypt

The symposium will bring together developed and developing countries to discuss problems of industrialisation.
