Obituary
MR N. P. BERGIN Mr Norman Patrick Bergin who was assistant general manager of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company for 10 years until his retirement in March, died in Christchurch last week. Mr Bergin spent his work ing life with the Canterbury
Frozen Meat Company, having joined it at Timaru in May, 1912. He was transferred to the head office in Christchurch in 1921, and was appointed production manager in 1949. His appointment as assistant general manager was made in 1957, and he retired from this position on March 31 last At the time of his death, Mr Bergin was on the directorate of C.F.M. Sales, a subsidiary of the parent company. Some years ago he was president of the St Bede's College Parent-Teacher Association. Mr Bergin is survived by three sons and a daughter.
