Liquor Survey Next Year

(N.Z. Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 17. The effect of 10 p.m. closing on liquor consumption could not be determined until early next year, the Minister of Finance (Mr Muldoon) said in Parliament today. Replying to Mrs R. M. Stevenson (Nat., Taupo) the Minister said that statistics would have to be compared over a long period. Allowances would have to be made for factors such as weather, temperatures and population figures before any reliable comparisons could be made, said Mr Muldoon.
