Metric System Study
(N Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 8. The Government is setting up a committee to investigate the metric system of weights and measures and report its findings on whether or not the system should be adopted by New Zealand. Britain has announced its intention to adopt the metric system. Investigations are being made into the possibility of conversion to the metric system in the few industrialised countries (including Australia, Canada and the United States) still using the inch/pound system.
