COSTS TO BE HELD
Decision By Carriers (N Z Press Association) MASTERTON, Nov. 8. There will be no increase this year in freight charges for the cartage of hay and grain throughout the Wairarapa. the local branch of the Road Transport Alliance has agreed. "We have done this because of the recession," the manager of Transport Wairarapa (Mr F. J. Armstrong) said today. The agreement to hold costs was made at a meeting of the branch in Masterton last Friday. Local transport companies will now absorb increased costs for petrol, diesel, fuel, electricity, telephones and bank charges.
