November 6, 1967. 8436 PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN NOTICE is hereby given that the Heathcote County Council proposes at its meeting to be held on the 27th day of November, 1967, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Authorities Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of $200,000 for the purpose of enabling the Council to partially repay money owed and liabilities incurred in excess of the limits prescribed by Sections 20 and 23 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956. The security for the loan shall be a special rate of .0834 c in the $ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Heathcote County. It is not proposed to levy or collect the special rate, and the loan charges are to be met from the annual maintenance rate and charges for extraordinary water supply, the general rate and the electricity account revenue. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Heathcote County Council, P.O. Box 12033. COUNTY CLERK AND CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER 8449 RICCARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL ELECTRICAL RETICULATION LOAN 1967 OF $76,000 IT is hereby publicly notified that the Riccarton Borough Council at a special meeting held in the Council Chambers. Clarence Street, at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 1967, passed the following resolution: That in pursuance and exer cise of the power vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1954, and its amendments and the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, and its amendments and every other power enabling it, the consent of the Local Authorities Loans Board having been given, the Riccarton Borough Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: (a) That the Riccarton Borough Council authorise and proceed to raise a Loan of $76,000 to be known as the Electrical Reticulation Loan, 1967. for the purpose of in creasing the capacity of electrical reticulation within the Borough. (b) That the term for which the , said Loan or any part there- , of may be borrowed shall . be 10 years. (c) The Council shall, before raising the said Loan or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund and shall make annual pay- , ments to such sinking fund at a rate of not less than 7.95 per cent per annum of the amount of the Loan for the time being borrowed and not repaid (d) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said Loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding 5j per cent per annum. (e) That the payment of interest and repayment of principal in respect of the said Loan shall be made in New Zealand, and no amount payable as either interest or sinking fund in respect of the said Loan shall be paid out of Loan money. (f) The rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said Loan or any part thereof shall not exceed I per cent of any amount raised. (g) That no money shall be borrowed under this sanction after the expiration of three years from the date hereof. <h) That the Council hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said Loan and charges thereto a special annual rate of .126 cents in the dollar upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough during the currency of the Loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the Loan is fully paid off. (i) That the foregoing resolution be publicly notified and submitted to the next ordinary meeting of the Council for confirmation of a Special Order. It is hereby publicly notified that the foregoing resolution wil Ibe submitted to an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers.
