Holz Beaten In Billiards

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) COLOMBO. L. Driffield (England) and J. Long (Australia) scored easy victories in the world amateur billiards championship on Tuesday. Driffield, a former champion, beat S. M. Marzuk (Ceylon), 1902-482, and Long defeated F. Holz (New Zealand), 1745-668. Long had a break of 247, the highest in the championship so far. The previous best was 242 by Driffield.

Big Victory.— Liverpool, the English Football League leader, beat T.S.V. Munich, 8-0, in the first leg of their Inter-Cities Fairs' Cup second round tie.
