Parliament’s Diary

Two new measures, the Meat Amendment Bill and the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill, were introduced and read a first time when Parliament resumed yesterday afternoon.

Two petitions were presented, and Ministers answered 18 questions. Urgency was then taken on the committal debate of the Maori Affairs Amendment Bill, of 147 clauses. It was expected that this would occupy the House until early this morning.
