Cooking For 1967 Asparagus Filling

Asparagus filling is a very useful thing to have in your refrigerator. It can be used to provide a quickly prepared meal such as Asparagus Patties, Asparagus Pancakes, or as a filling for sandwiches. You will need: 1 cup cooked asparagus tips 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder i cup evaporated milk j cup mayonnaise 1 teaspoon gelatine

Pepper and salt. Method: Mix bouillon with half a cup boiling water. Soften gelatine with a little cold water and add to hot stock. Allow to cool. Mash asparagus, add mayonnaise, and the warm (not hot) bouillon, and season to taste. Leave the mixture to cool and when almost set add the evaporated milk and blend well.
