LONDON, Oct. 31. The New Zealand mezzo-so-prano, Janet Kenny, will sing a leading role as one of an international cast at the inaugural performance by the new Ulster Opera at the Belfast FesI tival, which will open on { November 18. Mrs Kenny, who came to Britain from Christchurch i in 1964 and made her deI but in opera as a principal - in “The Magic Flute” at last year's Glyndebourne Festival, will sing the role of Tisbe in Rossini’s “La Cenerentola.” Others in the cast include the American contralto Sylvia Friedrich, and three famous Italian singers the tenor Ugo Benelli, the baritone Rolando Panerai and the bass Alfred Mariotti.
