Dr Fraser Elected The Rev. Dr I. W. Fraser, minister of St Stephen’s Church, Lower Hutt, was elected Moderator-designate of the Presbyterian Church at its assembly in Christchurch on Saturday. Dr Fraser was born in Wellington in 1907. He has been a member of the church’s doctrine commit-

tee for a number of years and has served on the Christian education commission and the church union committee. Dr Fraser was largely responsible for women ministers being ordained in the church. In 1958 Dr Fraser visited refugee camps in Europe: he established the Nansen Home for elderly refugees in Lower Hutt in 1963. Dr Fraser has had several books published on the Old and New Testaments. *'
